Happy 75th birthday to the Dalai Lama. To celebrate, Shepard Fairey is going to be releasing an amazing portrait of His Holiness titled Compassion (His Holiness The Dalai Lama). This is an edition of 500, so if you’re on the ball and swift with the f5 finger, you should be able to score (but expect this to go fast).
We’re thrilled to be wishing a very special 75th birthday to His Holiness the Dalai Lama this year. In honor of this Diamond year, and in recognition of March 10th being Tibetan Independence Day, Shepard has created a limited-edition print of His Holiness. The work is based on an image taken by renowned photographer/documentarian Don Farber, who has spent more than 30 years covering the Tibetan leader and community in exile.
Says Shepard: “I’ve always had great admiration for His Holiness and his non-violent approach to the plight of the Tibetan people. When I was approached with the opportunity to work with this beautiful image as a sanctioned source and create a work that evokes the Dalai Lama’s presence as I feel it, I was thrilled. I hope His Holiness remains a presence of compassion in the world for many birthdays to come!”
Please show your support and bring this beautiful portrait into your home. Net proceeds will be divided between Tibet House and LA Friends of Tibet.

Wonderful print and cause. Unfortunately I doubt when I get one off eBay they seller won’t be donating any of his 100-200% mark-up to the Tibet charities.
Right now you’re looking at about 400% markup. This will hold it’s value much like the Fairey Ali print, as it is similar in quality and in popularity of the subject matter.
