Shepard Fairey dropped the news that new vinyl  figurines featuring Mr. Spray are set to drop on us all. It will come in four colorways that are black, red, gold and silver. Currently the black and red variants are available for presale on STRANGEco for $84.99 a piece. The details of the other colorway releases are forthcoming.

We’re pleased to announce MR. SPRAY, a new limited edition vinyl figure designed by internationally renowned artist Shepard Fairey!

Mr. Spray is an original character created by the artist in 2004 as a street-art appropriation of an advertising character design of the 1950s. Mr. Spray is the first original vinyl figure design by the artist in eleven years and will be released in mid-July 2010.

Mr. Spray is a rotocast vinyl figure, 11 inches tall. 4 points of articulation and packaged with an OBEY mini stencil. Illustrated card box packaging.

Mr. Spray is available in four color editions:

* BLACK – limited to 350 pieces. Available at strangeco’s online retail shop and at select retailers.
* RED – limited to 350 pieces. Available at strangeco’s online retail shop and at select retailers.
* GOLD – limited to 200 pieces. OBEY special edition, release information forthcoming.
* SILVER – limited to 100 pieces. Strangeco special edition, available at the San Diego Comic Con 2010 and through Strangeco’s online retail shop. Purchase information forthcoming.

Mr. Spray will be available for retail pre-order through Strangeco’s retail shop on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 and will begin shipping on or around July 20, 2010. The Black and Red editions will be available at select neighborhood designer toy shops, too.
