Nakatomi Presents New Jon Smith Posters

Nakatomi now has Jon Smith on boards, and like most projects Nakatomi takes on, there is a LOT of good stuff to go around. Check out the info below, head over to Nakatomi, and stock up on your Jon Smith posters now.

Jon Smith is moving to Nakatomi! Well, his store at least…we don’t want him actually sleeping here.

Jon’s one of the most unique gig poster artists working today, designing prints for bands like Spoon, Built To Spill, Black Keys…the list goes on and on. His prints have a crazy otherworldly and distinct look to them- if you ever get a look at his Ghostland Observatory prints, they really twist the expectations of what you’d normally see in the screen printing medium. It’s great stuff, and we’re proud to have his prints up on Nakatomi. (And, I get to see them all in person as they come into the studio!)

We’re in the process of moving his back inventory over here, bit by bit and we couldn’t be happier.

And to kick it off, we’ve got a brand new release by Jon, his Built To Spill print from back in November-

This 12×24 print is signed and numbered by Jon in an edition of 100. We also have a few of the Variants available as well!

When Jon was packing up prints to ship to us, he also came across a small stash of his sold-out Black Keys Columbus prints- these are the very last five copies available-

We’ve got quite a few more, and Jon will be sending us prints until we have his whole back catalog available, as well as all his new stuff! Check back often!

Billy Perkins Presents Billie Jean

The King Of Pop may be gone, but he is obviously not forgotten. Billy Perkins used some black paper scraps to put together a nice tribute to Michael Jackson titled Billie Jean. True to the glory days of MJ, this print showcases MJ in mid motion, in his highwater pants, and exclaiming his high pitched “woo hoooo!”.

Well, I lied. Unfortunately, the print is unable to make verbal exclamations, but it portrays all of the rest perfectly. There are only 120 available for $25 (plus $9 shipping), so act quick before this deal moonwalks off the face of the Earth.

The White Rabbit By Lucky Bunny

I’m a sucker for prints that showcase texture, depth and a nice central visual element. The White Rabbit by Lucky Bunny (Rich DeSimone) has all three of these qualities! From what I can tell, this is an open edition, so be sure to tell all of your bunny loving friends (admit it…All of your friends are into fluffy white rabbits).

This is a high quality, archival giclee print made from one of my works on panel. The original piece was made by screen printing and painting with acrylic on a wood panel. The art was then photographed scanned and eventually printed by ioLabs* in Rhode Island on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 g/m2 paper using archival inks. I chose this paper because of the subtle texture and soft white tone. It is mould-made and acid free and heavy giving the final print a substantial feel. The color is rich, saturated, and is a very faithful reproduction of the original art.

This print is signed and comes in a 9×12 vellum envelope that has my logo screen printed on the front. Inside the envelope is an 8×10 sheet of archival, unbuffered, tissue which is recommended for the storage of prints.
