I woke up this morning to an email that put a big smile on my face. It was from Kii Arens and it was to let me know that a red version of the Radiohead For Haiti poster is now up for sale. In his words:

This new print titled Haitian Girl is available now for presale, and it will ship on February 21, 2010 thanks to the folks at Hemway Industries. 100% of the proceeds from this beautiful print will go to Yele Haiti. Arcade Fire Haiti Benefit Posters

The art world continues to raise funds for the Haiti disaster, and it’s a beautiful thing. On this Thursday, Burlesque Design will be releasing 20 complete sets of the Arcade Fire Spring 2007 posters. The sets of four will run $120, and all of the proceeds will be donated to Partners in Health. Give a little, get a lot!

ARCADE FIRE HAITI BENEFIT

Some of you may know about Arcade Fire’s long relationship with the country of Haiti. The group’s co-founder Régine Chassagne’s family emigrated from Haiti before she was born in Canada and her Haitian heritage shines through in songs such as “Haiti” and in the group’s ongoing efforts to support non-profit organizations working in Haiti.

We dug through our archives and were able to dig up some extra copies from the original run of Arcade Fire Spring 2007. We will be selling twenty (20) complete sets of the four posters this Thursday at 2pm. All proceeds will be donated to Partners in Health, Arcade Fire’s preferred charity organization.

The prints will be sold in complete sets of four.
We are unable to offer matching numbers.

The organizations include Doctors Without Borders, Partners In Health and Mercy Corps. This print release will be a 1 week timed edition, and you can purchase as many prints as you’d like. It is an 18″ x 24″ silkscreen and it will be signed and numbered.

Each is signed and numbered by the artist. These were used as a color study used as the basis for the small Haitian Relief print series. Each print is 100% unique, no two are the same. They are all HANDPAINTED, each chimp has a different face, colors, eye colors, shirts, and varying patterns on those shirts, etc. They were created on Archival grade 250mm print paper. Then they are layered (many, many of them) with Montana 94, and Montana Gold spraypaints, as well as Golden acrylic paint. .It took me a long time to make these, and pictures dont do them justice. Please help me get behind a great humanitarian relief, and get something cool in return!! Free shipping anywhere in the lower 48, $25 flat rate anywhere else in the world.

When disaster strikes, it’s amazing to see how far people will go to help a cause. In this case, Danny O’Connor is rounding up donations for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), and offering up an original painting as incentive to contribute. The Dust Is Yet To Settle was painted in response to the recent earthquake in Haiti, and can be yours just for contributing at least £2 to the rescue effort. Just follow the details below, donate some money to the cause, and drop DOC a line to let him know that you’ve stepped up to the plate for a chance to win this beautiful piece.

A bit different to some of my recent work with an abstract approach. Anyway I painted this piece (The Dust Is Yet To Settle) in response to the recent earthquake in Haiti.

What I’d like people to do is donate at least £2 to MSF, then send me an email at oconnordanny@hotmail.com and tell me your name and that you have made a donation. After about a week of people donating I will round up the names that have been sent to me and draw a raffle and the winner will get this painting.
